How do you know when God is speaking to you Vs. Satan?
"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:5)
We are living in a time and day where unless we are deep in God's Word and spending time with God daily we will not survive the trials that each one of us will face in life personally.
"Satan's Strategy Is to Confuse the Senses—Satan's work is to lead men to ignore God, to so engross and absorb the mind that God will not be in their thoughts. The education they have received has been of a character to confuse the mind and eclipse the true light. Satan does not wish the people to have a knowledge of God." (Adventist Home Ch. 66)

It is so important to know God and have an accurate knowledge of who He truly is.Our faith should never be based on misconceptions we have of Him growing up or what our parents or others have taught us.When you make friends and bonds are created it is not only because you were introduced to them and other friends spoke greatly about them but because you get to know them personally for yourself.Therefore. that friendship deepens and begins to grow. The same thing happens with our relationship with God.
The Bible, and the Bible alone, is to be our creed, the sole bond of union; all who bow to this Holy Word will be in harmony. Our own views and ideas must not control our efforts. Man is fallible, but God's Word is infallible.—Selected Messages, bk. 1, p. 416.
The word of God is infallible; accept it as it reads; look with confidence to God; trust him to qualify you for his service.—Advent Review, Feb. 11, 1896.

Man's word fails; and he who takes the assertions of man as his dependence may well tremble; for he will one day be a shipwrecked vessel. But God's word is infallible, and endures forever. Christ declares, "Verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." God's word will endure through the ceaseless ages of eternity. God lives and reigns.—Advent Review, Feb. 6, 1900.
Praise God, we have a divine road to heaven. We need not depend upon the conjectures and opinions of men, but upon the infallible decision of the word of God. The word of the infinite God is true, and cannot be distorted to suit men's pleasure, or be turned aside to suit the inclinations of the unsanctified soul. No man can safely judge the word of the Supreme Ruler of the universe.—Signs of the Times, Aug. 21, 1893.
God's Word is full of precious promises and helpful counsel. It is infallible; for God can not err. It has help for every circumstance and condition of life, and God looks on with sadness when His children turn from it to human aid.—Signs of the Times, June 26, 1901.
Then let every man read, study, and search the Scriptures for himself and take nothing as infallible but the Word that you can see for yourself, after much prayer and searching in an humble, teachable spirit.—The Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, p. 835

Satan's mission since before he was thrown out of heaven with 1/3 Angel's who are now demons was to distort God's Character. To make him look as an unjust God.The whole purpose of the investigative judgement taught in scriptures is to prove that God is just.God already knows who will be saved and lost but he wants us to be his witnesses. The whole world will see He is Just!
"It was the highest sin to rebel against the order and will of God. All heaven seemed in commotion. The angels were marshaled in companies with a commanding angel at their head. All the angels were astir. Satan was insinuating against the government of God, ambitious to exalt himself, and unwilling to submit to the authority of Jesus. Some of the angels sympathized with Satan in his rebellion, and others strongly contended for the honor and wisdom of God in giving authority to his Son. And there was contention with the angels. Satan and his affected ones, who were striving to reform the government of God, wished to look into his unsearchable wisdom to ascertain his purpose in exalting Jesus, and endowing him with such unlimited power and command. They rebelled against the authority of the Son of God, and all the angels were summoned to appear before the Father, to have their cases decided. And it was decided that Satan should be expelled from heaven, and that the angels, all who joined with Satan in the rebellion, should be turned out with him. Then there was war in heaven. Angels were engaged in the battle; Satan wished to conquer the Son of God, and those who were submissive to his will. But the good and true angels prevailed, and Satan, with his followers, was driven from heaven."(The Great Controversy Ch.1)

Mind Games, Mind Battles and Spiritual Warfare didn't just happen. It was rooted in pride in heaven.Lucifer became jealous of God which is why he rebelled and there was a war in heaven. That same war between good and evil exist in our heads today! We all have to make a choice daily what we want to believe and who we want to believe.
So what must we do to face the Spiritual war we face daily?
Read Ephesians 6:11-18 (KJV)
"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

By remaining acquainted with our main source we will not be deceived by the enemies lies.In fact, we will remain so steadfast in His truth that we could never be fooled. We obtain spiritual discernment when we hang out with Jesus! The Holy Spirit is our guide and we can obtain wisdom from God's Word and discern good and evil as well as discern things that are not in accordance to His will.
So, how do we know when it is God's warning? Or how do we know when it is simply fear and our own emotions vs. God's voice?
Feelings Vs. Truth
Impressions and feelings are no sure evidence that a person is being led by the Lord. Satan will, if he is unsuspected, give feelings and impressions. These are not correct and safe guides. All should acquaint themselves thoroughly with the evidences of our faith, and the great study should be how they can adorn their profession, and bear fruit to the glory of God.—The Review and Herald, August 3, 1886.8
"For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad." Luke 8:17
When God is showing you something in your spirit and you want to make sure it is God trying to give you head, warnings and red flags to protect you? He will expose it to you clearly and give you evidence that indeed it was Him revealing it to you to protect you.He will often give you confirmations along with it.It is very hard to know how to discern God's Voice from the enemies voice or your own when you do not spend time with Him.If He is truly our Best Friend and we have an accurate knowledge of who He is we will not only know His voice and follow it but we will not live in confusion.Confusion is of satan. God is unwavered Solid Truth to live by.

1 Corithians 2:14
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
Spiritual Discernment is a gift from God.Spending more time with the things of this world can blind our spiritual senses, perceptions and lead us far from God to where we no longer hear His voice anymore. This is a dangerous place to be.
John 10:27
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."
In Conclusion, let'us Pray to be humble & have a teachable Spirit before studying His Word.

"It makes every difference to us in what kind of spirit we come to the investigation of the Scriptures. If we come with a teachable spirit, ready to learn, with our hearts emptied of our prejudices, not seeking to bring the Scriptures to our ideas but to bring our ideas to the Scriptures, then we shall know of the doctrine. We shall understand it. But let me tell you, brethren, if you have discernment you can understand where God is working. You do not need wonderful miracles to testify of this, because you see the miracles did not do any good to the Jews. They had it right in their sight but it did not do any good to them."
